WOTW - Ephesians 3:14-21 ♥

Today I have decided to re-start an old tradition I had on the blog when I first started. It sort of fizzled out a lot with a few others. I was looking back over my blog and what I enjoyed writing, these were not my most popular posts for obvious reasons. As you can tell being a Christian isn't just a label to me, its who I am and its what makes me what I am and what I will become. It's a massive part of my life, and I intend to share the Gospel with whoever will listen and make it a regular feature on my blog. I will be posting these on a Sunday as my inspirational posts. I do hope you will read, and I pray that God will bless you whilst you read them. If he doesn't and you choose not to read, thats fine too.

I decided to start with the main feature of Spring Harvest which I went to over the Spring Holidays - we went to Butlin's in Skegness and joined together with hundreds of other Christian's. The theme this year was Immeasurably More - and the part of scripture used was from the book of Ephesians Chapter 3 Verse 14-21.

I am using the scripture translated from the Message Bible - as I prefer the language used and it's easier for me to understand and grasp to be honest.

14 - 21 - My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth. I ask him to strengthen you by the spirit - not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength - that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in. And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you'll be able to take in with all followers of Jesus the extravagant dimensions of God's love. Reach out and experience the breadth, test it's lengths, plumb the depths and rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God. God can do anything, you know - far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his spirit deeply and gently within us.

I love these verses - if you ever want to try to understand God's love for you more then this book is a good place to start. Obviously we can never begin to understand why or how much he loves us because it is completely immeasurable. We cannot even begin to fathom it - and I find it so amazing to know his spirit is constantly working within me.

Thank you for reading!

God Bless you all richly!

  1. I'm personally not religious, except for on a cultural level (I identify with Irish Catholics as a community but I don't share their faith), but I absolutely love hearing about other people's deeply held religious views. I think it's all part of the rich tapestry of life, and I can see why such beautiful words bring you comfort. I think this is a really interesting series, especially when so many blogs look and sound so similar :) xx
